Dhiraagu has officially opened registrations for the highly anticipated Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race (DMRR) 2025. The announcement was made at a press conference held today at Dhiraagu Head Office.
Now in its 16th year, DMRR is scheduled for Friday, 24 October 2025, at Central Park in Hulhumalé. Runners can register for four race categories: Half Marathon, 10K, 5K Open, and 5K Corporate Team via dmrr.dhiraagu.com.mv.
This year introduces a newly certified race route aimed at enhancing the runner experience. “We are looking forward to seeing increased participation in the corporate team category, alongside athletes from across the globe,” said Mirshan Hassan, Director of Brand and Marketing Communications at Dhiraagu.
With MVR 280,000 in total cash prizes, DMRR continues to be the country’s largest and only international run. It is listed on the AIMS World Running calendar and features a World Athletics-certified course.
DMRR 2025 also continues Dhiraagu’s tradition of supporting child protection. The run will provide a platform for NGOs to raise awareness and funds for children’s rights. Dhiraagu will donate MVR 200,000 to the top five endorsed NGOs nominated during registration. An additional MVR 100 per participant and special bib sales proceeds will also go to these NGOs.
Registrations are open until the cap of 4,000 runners is reached.
