BML Opens 40th Branch in Dhuvaafaru

Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened its 40th branch in Dhuvaafaru, further extending its services across the country. The launch event was attended by Minister of Construction, Housing, and Infrastructure Dr. Abdulla Muththalib, BML Chairman Ahmed Ali Habeeb, and Deputy CEO Saha Waheed.

The new branch will offer a full range of services, including Islamic banking under BML’s Islamic Finance First policy. This move supports the bank’s ongoing focus on serving the diverse financial needs of Maldivians.
With a strong presence of 40 branches, 133 self-service banking centres, 188 ATMs, and a wide agent banking network, BML continues to lead the financial sector in the Maldives. The bank also remains committed to improving its digital services and building new partnerships to meet changing customer needs.

Since its first branch opened in Malé in 1982, BML has steadily grown to serve every island in the country, working to promote financial inclusion nationwide.
