Maldives Airports Company Ltd (MACL) has officially launched the AIM Certificate 3 in Airport Security and Management, aimed at boosting professional capacity in aviation security.
At the launch ceremony, MACL CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed highlighted the contribution of Estate Security Services (ESS) in resolving ongoing challenges at Velana International Airport, including improvements to the taxi queue system.
“ESS is one of the departments that consistently demonstrates professionalism, discipline, and respect,” Shareef said. “Their work is essential, and I thank the entire ESS team for their dedication.”
He also noted that the wider goal of the Aviation Institute is to promote mutual respect and competence among all MACL staff.
MACL General Manager Adam Naseer, speaking for AIM, said the institute aims to introduce diploma-level programs in the future, which will be certified by the Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA). He emphasized MACL’s commitment to enhancing the educational qualifications of its employees.
The event also included the official unveiling of the ESS annual calendar by Ibrahim Shareef.
