Three state-owned companies have been awarded contracts to carry out health facility projects across 18 islands in the Maldives. The deals were signed on Wednesday with Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), Fenaka Corporation, and Road Development Corporation (RDC).

RDC will handle four projects, including the expansion of health centers in HA. Filladhoo and M. Mulah, and constructing new hospital buildings in R. Meedhoo and GA. Dhaandhoo. The agreements were signed by State Minister for Health Ahmed Gasim and RDC’s Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Asbah Ali Naseer.

MTCC received five projects: expansions in HA. Uligan, R. Innamaadhoo, and Dh. Hulhudheli, and new buildings in HDh. Kumudhoo and ADh. Omadhoo. MTCC’s Managing Director Ahmed Saudhee signed the contracts with Gasim.
Fenaka was awarded the most projects, with nine in total. These include expansions in islands like HA. Muraidhoo, R. Kinolhas, and Dh. Rinbidhoo, as well as new buildings in HA. Molhadhoo and R.
