Ooredoo Maldives has once again been named Telco of the Year – Small Markets at the Twimbit Telecom Awards 2025. This marks the second year in a row the company has received this important accolade.
The Twimbit Awards recognise telecom companies that excel in innovation, customer experience, and digital transformation. This year’s Small Markets category saw tough competition, with strong contenders like Dhiraagu Maldives, DST Brunei, and Bhutan Telecom.
Despite this, Ooredoo Maldives stood out by continuing to lead in 5G development, fintech innovation through its m-Faisaa platform, and AI-driven digital experiences. The company’s work under its “Digital Maldives” vision also includes impactful community programs aimed at bridging the digital divide.
Khalid Al-Hamadi, CEO of Ooredoo Maldives, expressed pride in the award, noting it reflects the team’s dedication and commitment to excellence. He acknowledged customers, employees, and partners as key contributors to this success.
Ooredoo Maldives remains focused on enhancing connectivity and digital services, playing a crucial role in supporting the country’s digital progress and improving everyday life through technology.
