DhiraaguApp Donation Drive Raises Significant Funds for State Care Homes

Dhiraagu has successfully collected a total of MVR 230,380 through its “Donate on DhiraaguApp” initiative, a special Ramadan campaign aimed at supporting children under state care. This amount includes Dhiraagu’s committed contribution of MVR 150,000 alongside generous donations from the public via the DhiraaguApp.

The funds were officially handed over to the Minister of Social and Family Development, Dr. Aishath Shiham, by Dhiraagu’s CEO & MD, Ismail Rasheed. The donations will benefit three state care homes: Fiyavathi, serving the Greater Malé Region, and Amaan Veshi and Amaan Hiyaa, which support children across the Maldives.

The raised money will be used to back key programmes identified by the Ministry to improve the welfare and development of children living in state care. Dhiraagu’s support extends beyond donations; the company has been providing high-speed broadband to all Amaan Veshi and Amaan Hiyaa facilities nationwide, helping enhance digital literacy and education for children in these homes.

With inclusion as a central part of its corporate social responsibility, Dhiraagu continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of children throughout the Maldives.
