Ooredoo Maldives Introduces Samsung Smartwatch eSIM Service

Ooredoo Maldives has launched support for Samsung eSIM-enabled smartwatches, a first for the country. This new service allows users to stay connected from their smartwatch without needing to have their phone nearby.

Currently available for the Samsung Watch Ultra 7 LTE models with the Maldives region enabled, the eSIM service lets customers make calls, send messages, stream music, and access their favorite apps directly on their wrist.
The service is offered to both prepaid and postpaid customers. It is free for the first three months, after which a monthly fee of MVR 199 will apply.
This launch highlights Ooredoo’s efforts to introduce new technology that provides greater convenience and supports a digital lifestyle across the Maldives.
