Required Competencies:
•Level II or Level III Certificate in Hotel management or specialized in food and beverage
•Ability to communicate in English
•Skills to work independently, effectively manage own time and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
•Skills to adapt to the shifting priorities and needs of lounge environment.
•Self-motivated, with high attention to detail, quality and presentation.
•Skills to collaborate and communicate effectively and professionally in a team environment.
•Minimum Two years’ experience in food & beverage industry will be added advantage.
•Ability to maintain a flexible schedule in order to meet needs of the department.
•Basic computer proficiency required.

Job Responsibilities:
•Greet customers as they enter into the lounge
•Prepare buffet areas and ensure that all necessary food and beverage items are presented in an appealing manner.
•Expedite guests’ orders and ensure that they are delivered to their tables within the specified timelines.
•Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
•Take orders while paying attention to details (Example: preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
•Prepare beverages following recipes
•Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and buffet items
•Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
•Keep the lounge clean all the time
•Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates
•Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
•Comply with health and safety regulations
•Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items.

Working Hours:
Shift working hours; 8 hours per day over 6 consecutive days; 1 off day per week

Salary range: MVR 5,500 with service charge
