Our Beginning
Expo Investment was formed after reviewing the success behind our retailing stores. As a first step, we opened a general store in the capital of Maldives, Male’ in 1989 to cater everyday needs.

Steady Growth
As the demand grew, we transformed the shop with an annex as a supermarket.

With the pace of economical growth, we opened the second shop to cater to the requirement of premium/ luxury items.

Wholesale & Retail Business
In a short period of time, with a lot of hard work and dedication, we managed to establish ourselves as one of the main retailers and wholesalers, not only in Male’ but in the whole of Maldives.

Reasons behind the success
We believe the real success is due to the active support given by the 4 shareholders.

We hold a well experienced and skilled staff force and our organisational structure, starting from sales and marketing to administration and accounting, is extremely efficient and effective.

We carry out special marketing programs for different occasions, at times outsourcing the marketing agenda to other consultancy agencies.

Reaching into the islands of Maldives
Maldives is composed of 200 inhabited islands scattered in the Indian Ocean. To cater them, we opened a wholesale establishment in the Bazaar area named SOSUN FIHAARA to fulfill the needs of our customers from the islands.

We have opened a new outlet in Hulhumale, as well in order to distribute our Agency products.

In addition to this, we now have sub distributors in Addu City, Fuvamulaku, Laam atoll Gan, Hd. Kulhuduffushi, and Ga. Thinadhoo.

Even though the population of the country is about 470,000 people, tourist arrival exceeds over one million, which results in a rich retailing opportunity within Maldives.
